a note on the world of blogs, bloggers and blogging...

There are a few things you need to know about the internet. 1- its awesome. 2-you can learn cool stuff. 3- it can save you alot of time. This post will help you combine all three of those by helping you learn something cool that will save you time and in turn, make your life more awesome. The internet is great, so take advantage of it! The best way to do this is (in my opinion) is to read blogs. Now, blogs are just like people. Some are smart, some are not so smart. Some are fun, some are not so fun...you get the point. But just like people, you get to decide which ones you listen to. If you check this blog from time to time, enjoy the photos, see the pretty people and stay caught up with Katie and I let me say thanks! And guess what, your life is about to get better. We're about to roll out a brand new blog design that will please your pupils even more! I've enlisted some people way smarter than me to work the interweb and come up with a super cool blog design that is easier to use and portrays more of my style and personality that this measly one.

But before we unleash it on you; I wanted to show you one of the many reasons why the internet is so awesomely time-saving. I'm talking about RSS. Its short for Really Simple Syndication. You can also think of it as Really Simple Subscription, its basically a way for you to tell the internet what blogs you want to read, and it brings them to you automatically when there is a new post. That way you don't have to go clicking a hundred bookmarks all the time just to see if your fave blogs have been updated. So how do I get into this RSS business you ask?
Well its simple, really simple ... If you've ever see one of these symbols you are on the right track.

You will need to start off with an RSS Reader. There is a great little company that makes one called Google Reader, its pretty great. Or, if you use Safari or Firefox, there are RSS readers built right in! Just look for anything that says RSS, Subscribe or the orange icon and thank me later for all the extra time you will enjoy!

Stay tuned for the unveiling of the new blog design!
