Becoming a full time photographer changed the way I look at my cameras profoundly. It's the weirdest thing. There was a time when I was never without a camera. I'd take one everywhere. Now that I lug equipment everywhere and shoot for a living 3 or 4 times a week, my cameras sit on the shelf during my free time. I feel bad but they're heavy, expensive, and I just don't want to lug em around all the time. Not to mention, I had carpal tunnel at the end of last year after shooting the D3 all summer with no strap. (I hate camera straps!)
With that said, Chase re-inspired me! You don't need a D3 and a bag of lenses to document the little moment of life that you want to remember. All you need is to see life as if you always have a camera in your hands, and you do! Since then I've been reading up on how to be creative with the iPhone camera, tricking it to a manual exposure and such. There are even some amazing apps that allow you to edit your photos right on the phone! No wonder they call it the Jesus Phone!
Anyway, this post has been brewing for quite awhile and since I'm releasing a new blog and website the day we open the studio I thought this would be a good post for the meantime. So, enjoy a few glimpses of my life over the past couple years as seen through my iPhone and don't think you have to have expensive stuff to photograph life as it happens!

You don't need expensive stuff to photograph life as it happens... like an iPhone that costs hundreds of dollars.
this has to be one of my favorite blog posts ever! :)
{and yay for meers! mmm! :)}
awesome!!!!!
touche W, it goes without saying nearly any phone can take a photo. When your trusty Nokia snake phone bites the dust I'll buy you an iPhone so you can still have the moral high ground.
Great post! One question...where'd you get the mini bananas? I so want some of those. :)
i would like to rename your cloud pictures: "God does have a sense of humor" =)
Amazing sesh man. You made it seem as if none of those shots were stylized. You rock. Whammy! Zing!
I love this! it reminds me of this project that a group of my fellow graphic design students started in college except exclusively on the iPhone. :) http://www.everydayproject.com/
